What the FAQ?
When is individual coaching the right choice, and when is training a better fit?
Training is ideal when you want to learn new knowledge or skills, often in a group setting. Individual coaching goes deeper and starts from personal questions, beliefs and how they influence someone’s behaviour and choices. Coaching is tailored and focuses on sustainable change. In practice, training and coaching often complement each other.
Who is individual coaching for?
Individual coaching is for anyone who wants to grow more consciously in their current role, prepare for a next step, or feels stuck in certain situations. It doesn’t only start from what’s rubbing, it can also start from ambition and future-focused growth.
What does a coaching programme look like?
A coaching programme usually consists of five to eight sessions, depending on your question and the depth you’re looking for. We decide the pace together. There’s typically a few weeks between sessions, so insights can land and you can try things out in practice. Along the way, we regularly pause to check whether the programme still fits what you need.
Can we book a half-day of team coaching?
I deliberately don’t work with half-day team coaching sessions. In my experience, that’s simply too little time to arrive at real insight, depth and sustainable behavioural change. Team coaching, sometimes supported by Insights Discovery or Lencioni, isn’t a stand-alone teambuilding activity, it’s a programme centred on self-awareness, alignment and collaboration. That requires time, psychological safety and space to reflect. If you’re looking for a short, light team activity, a different offer will likely suit you better.
Do you work in person or online for individual coaching?
My preference is to work in person, either in my practice or on site. Being in the same room tends to create more connection, nuance and depth. When meeting in person isn’t possible, individual coaching can also take place online. We’ll look together at what fits your context and question best.
How do I know whether a coach is right for me?
A good match is essential for a strong coaching journey. That’s why I always start with a no-obligation introductory conversation. We explore your question, expectations and how I work, and you’ll get a clear sense of my approach. That way, you’ll quickly feel whether it fits. Only if it feels right for both of us do we take the next step.
Do you work on your own?
I work as an independent coach, but that doesn’t mean you’re limited to what one person can offer. I’m supported by a network of experienced coaches I work closely with. For larger programmes, parallel coaching assignments, or specific language requirements, I can bring in a colleague who works in the same style and with the same approach. The quality and coherence of the programme remain guaranteed, even if part of it is facilitated by another coach. We’ll always look together at what best serves your assignment.
